Scope: This standard specifies the product specifications, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation and storage of nickel-zinc cupronickel rods for surface use (hereinafter referred to as "cupronickel rods"). This standard is applicable to nickel-zinc-nickel copper rods used in the manufacture of watch parts. It can also be used as a reference for the manufacture of precision-machined mechanical parts such as instruments and meters.
