Scope: This standard specifies the safety and health physical and critical requirements, chemical, physical and isotopic requirements, batch requirements and sampling, chemical analysis and isotopic analysis of enriched UF6 products ²³⁵ U-enriched below 5%. Test methods and marking, packaging, transportation and storage. This standard is applicable to the enrichment of commercial natural UF6 or UF6 obtained by blending commercial natural UF6 and post-processed UF6, and the concentration of U is higher than that of ²³⁵. ²³⁵ Enriched uranium hexafluoride products with U abundance less than 5% obtained by blending 5% enriched uranium hexafluoride with other low-abundance uranium hexafluoride. The scope of this standard does not include all provisions to prevent criticality accidents or requirements for health and safety or transport. Complying with this standard does not relieve the user from complying with national standards, industry standards and other applicable regulations and obligations related to processing, transporting or using UF6 in any way.
