This standard specifies the safety and health physical and critical requirements, chemical, physical and isotopic requirements, batch requirements and sampling, chemical analysis and isotopic analysis of enriched UF6 products 235 U-enriched below 5%. This standard is applicable to the enrichment of commercial natural UF6 or UF6 obtained by blending commercial natural UF6 and post-processed UF6, and the concentration of U is higher than that of 235. 235 Enriched uranium hexafluoride products with U abundance less than 5% obtained by blending 5% enriched uranium hexafluoride with other low-abundance uranium hexafluoride. The scope of this standard does not include all provisions to prevent criticality accidents or requirements for health and safety or transport.
