- This standard specifies the methods and procedures for UF6 uranium isotope analysis by single standard gas mass spectrometry. This standard is applicable to the measurement of uranium isotopic abundance and abundance ratio of UF6 samples. Using appropriate standards, the method can be used for the analysis of any isotope in samples of all abundance ranges of uranium-235. This standard is also applicable to the determination of the separation factor in uranium isotope separation research.
