Scope: This standard specifies the method for the determination of water content in petroleum products by distillation. This standard is applicable to petroleum products, tar and its derivative products, and the determination range of water content is not more than 25%. This standard can determine the water content of the sample exceeds 25%, but its precision has not been examined. If there are volatile water-soluble substances in the sample, they will be detected as water.
