Scope: This part specifies the strength and stiffness requirements for unmanned aerial vehicles with conventional landing gear under landing and ground operation loads, and the principles to be followed in order to achieve these requirements. This part applies to unmanned aerial vehicles with conventional landing gear with fixed wings and adjustable fixed wings: applicable to newly developed, improved, modified or repurposed unmanned aerial vehicles. This section does not apply to micro UAVs and UCAVs.
