Scope
The vibration criteria provided in this standard are applicable to units with a power greater than 15kW and operating speeds between 120 r/min and 15 000 r/min, such as steam turbines or motor-driven units. The machines included in this standard are: ——Steam turbines with a power not greater than 50MW; ——Steam turbines with a power greater than 50MW and a speed lower than 15 000 r/min or higher than 3600 r/min (excluding those contained in ISO 10816-2:1996 -rotary compressors; -industrial gas turbines with a power not greater than 3MW; -centrifugal, mixed flow or axial flow pumps; -generators other than hydroelectric generating sets or pumping stations; - Electric motors of various types; - blowers or blowers. Note: The vibration criteria of this standard are generally only applicable to wind turbines with a rated power greater than 300kW or other wind turbines with relatively rigid structures/frames that are not flexibly supported. When conditions permit, other types of fans are prepared to be recommended, including those that are flexibly supported or constructed of lightweight sheet metal. Prior to this, the manufacturer and the user can agree on the vibration classification acceptable to both parties based on the results of previous operating experience, see ISO 14694. The following machines do not belong to the scope of this standard: - land-mounted turbogenerators with a power greater than 50 MW, whose speed is 1500 r/min, 1800 r/min, 3000 r/min, 3600 r/min (see ISO 10816-2 ); - gas turbines with a power greater than 3MW (see GB/T 6075.4); - hydroelectric power plants and pumping station units (see ISO 10816-5:2000); - machines connected to reciprocating machines (see ISO 10816- 6); - rotary compressors (such as screw compressors); - reciprocating compressors; - submersible electric pumps; - wind turbines. The vibration criterion of this standard is applicable to the wide-band vibration measurement performed on-site on the machine bearing, bearing housing or machine base under the stable operation condition of the rated operating speed. They relate to acceptance tests and operational monitoring. The evaluation criteria of this standard apply to continuous and discontinuous monitoring states. This standard covers machines with gears or rolling bearings, but does not deal with the diagnostic evaluation of the condition of these gears or rolling bearings. This standard is only applicable to the vibration generated by the machine itself and not the vibration transmitted to the machine from the outside
