Scope
This document classifies air chemical pollution based on the concentration of specific chemical substances (species, groups or classes) in the air of clean rooms and related controlled environments. At the same time, the technical requirements for classification in this document provide procedures including detection methods, analysis methods and time weighting coefficients. This document currently only considers the concentration of chemical pollutants in the air from 100g/m3 to 10-12g/m3 under clean room operating conditions. This document does not deal with industries, processes and productions where the presence of chemicals in the air is not considered to pose a risk of harm to products or processes. It is not the intention of this document to discuss the characteristics of airborne chemical pollutants. This document does not contain classifications for chemical contamination of surfaces.
