Scope

This part of GB/T 18779 gives the decision rules when the default rules of GB/T 18779.1 may not be optimal in terms of economy. Note 1: GB/T 18779.1 provides a default decision rule. According to this rule, if the measured value represents the acceptance of a product, there is a high probability that it can be guaranteed that the corresponding measurand of the product conforms to the specification. Note 2: Changing the judgment rules from the default rules to the rules for specific tasks requires an agreement between the two parties concerned. This section does not involve how to determine the cost of correct judgment or wrong judgment ("correct judgment" means accepting qualified products or rejecting non-conforming products, "wrong judgment" means accepting non-conforming products or rejecting qualified products), because this is business matters. However, this section gives the terminology and requirements required by the organization for communicating and implementing specific decision rules, and gives examples to guide the application. Note 3: The determination rules in this section apply to the single measurement characteristic under consideration. Unless otherwise stated, all probability distributions discussed in this section are Gaussian and centered, and the cost functions are simple step functions. However, the principles of this section can be applied to any probability distribution function or cost function. This section applies to the measurement and inspection of workpieces and measuring equipment in product geometric specifications, and is also applicable to industrial applications.
