SY/T 6755-2016 Specification for inspecting butt joints of in-service oil and gas pipelines with ultrasonic phased array and multi-probes (English Version)
This standard specifies the requirements for the detection and quality assessment of circumferential butt joints, angular butt joints and pipe production butt joints of oil and gas pipelines in service using ultrasonic phased array and multi-probe ultrasonic inspection systems. This standard is applicable to the detection of butt joints of steel pipes with a wall thickness of 3.5mm to 50mm and a pipe diameter greater than or equal to 32mm. Automatic ultrasonic testing is not suitable for testing circumferential butt joints of steel pipelines with a diameter less than 100mm.
