- 1.0.1 This specification is formulated in order to ensure the quality of automatic ultrasonic testing of oil and gas steel pipeline circumferential butt joint projects, and to unify the technical requirements for testing. 1.0.2 This specification is applicable to the automatic ultrasonic on-site inspection and quality assessment of oil and gas pipeline projects with low carbon steel or low alloy steel, pipe wall thickness of 6mm ~ 50mm, nominal diameter greater than 100mm, and circular butt joints. 1.0.3 The automatic ultrasonic on-site inspection and quality assessment of oil and gas pipeline projects shall not only comply with this specification, but also comply with the current relevant national standards.
