- This standard specifies the inspection of raw materials, preparation and inspection of copper plating and phosphating solutions, copper plating and phosphating process control and quality inspection methods during the copper plating and phosphating process of drill tool threads. This standard applies to copper plating and phosphating treatment of threads of various drilling tools used in oil and natural gas drilling operations.
