- This part specifies the methods for measuring the flexural strength (σbb) and fracture toughness (KIC) of rare earth permanent magnet materials. This section applies to the determination of the flexural strength and fracture toughness (KIC) of brittle fracture rare earth permanent magnet materials. Measurement range of flexural strength: 20 MPa~2 000 MPa, measurement range of fracture toughness (KIC): 0.5 MPa? m1/2~50 MPa? m1/2 2.
