Scope: This document specifies the calibration and inspection methods for tension and (or) compression testing machines. The inspection includes: --- General inspection of the testing machine (including accessories for applying force); --- Calibration of the force-measuring system of the testing machine. ——Confirm the level that the performance parameters of the testing machine have reached. This document is applicable to the calibration and inspection of the force measuring system of tension and (or) compression testing machines. Note: This document only involves static inspection and calibration of the force measuring system, and its calibration values may not be suitable for high-speed or dynamic tests. See "References" for more information on dynamic effects. WARNING—The performance of certain tests specified in this document may result in hazardous conditions.
