Scope

This part specifies the definition, symbols and descriptions of tensile test methods for metallic materials at temperatures higher than room temperature, specimens and their dimensional measurements, test equipment, test requirements, performance measurements, rounding off of test results, and test reports. This section applies to the determination of the tensile properties of metal materials at temperatures above room temperature.
