This standard applies to the evaluation of the maximum service temperature of insulation products such as loose-fill insulation materials, felts, blankets, blocks, panels, and prefabricated insulation tubes and shells. The selection of performance items and their judgment standards, and the performance of the product in use (or after use) are the basis for evaluating the maximum use temperature of the material. The performance items and judgment criteria are stipulated by the relevant standards of thermal insulation materials. This standard does not intend to address all safety issues related to the use of products. This method aims to guide the evaluation of the performance change of thermal insulation materials at high temperatures, and to judge the applicability of materials under specific application conditions. This method is generally not intended for batch acceptance testing or qualification testing.
