This standard specifies the verticality, flatness, size, bulk density, average fiber diameter, slag content, acidity coefficient, hygroscopicity, oil content, water absorption, organic matter content, thermal load shrinkage temperature, etc. of mineral wool and its products. Relevant terms and definitions of methods, test conditions, selection of samples, test methods and test records. This standard applies to the determination of various properties of glass wool, rock wool, slag wool, aluminum silicate wool and their products. Other insulation materials can also refer to this standard. The moisture absorption test is only applicable to products without a cover.
