The guideline covers the measurement of temperature with liquid thermometers, bimetallic thermometers and resistance thermometers. In addition to the measurement procedures, the installation of the measuring devices, the calibration, the registration and the evaluation of the measurement data are described. Data evaluation must be included in the measurement planning to ensure comparability of the measurement results. The methodology to be chosen for data acquisition, data transmission and data evaluation is largely predetermined by the measurement task. These questions are also addressed.*www.vdi.de/3786
