- Scope
- This International Standard specifies the measurement and evaluation methods for gaseous emissions and particulate emissions from reciprocating internal combustion engines (RIC engines) under steady-state test bench conditions necessary for determining a performance-related emission value of each pollutant component in the exhaust. Different combinations of engine load and speed reflect different engine applications. This International Standard applies to RIC marine engines intended for installation in small craft up to a hull length of 24 m.
