Scope
This part of GB/T 11313 specifies the dimensions of the mating interface of N-type radio frequency coaxial connectors with a characteristic impedance of 50 Ω, standard gauge testing requirements, product ratings and characteristics, and selection from GB/T 11313.1-2013 The test schedule and inspection requirements for all detailed specifications applicable to N-type connectors. The N-type connector with a characteristic impedance of 50 Ω has three levels of products, and each level of products can be mated with each other. Universal RF connectors (Class 2) are preferred to be used in connection with RF cables such as SYV-50-7, with a maximum frequency of 11 GHz. High-performance RF connectors (Class 1) are especially suitable for microwave applications where the required reflection coefficient is lower than that of general-purpose connectors, and can also be used for microwave components. The interface size tolerance is between 0 and 2, and the required performance can be obtained through selection. Some Class 1 connectors complying with this specification can be used up to 18 GHz. Standard test connectors (Class 0) have a precisely controlled interface and provide a benchmark for measuring connectors, cable assemblies, components and equipment with the above 2 interfaces. It is also available as a microwave connector when the most sophisticated interface is required up to 18 GHz. This section also specifies the N-type radio frequency coaxial connector interface with a characteristic impedance of 75 Ω (see Appendix A), but due to accidental cross-connection of 75 Ω and 50 Ω connectors, the 75 Ω connector may be damaged, therefore, not N-type connectors with a characteristic impedance of 75 Ω are recommended. This part gives the detailed specification content and rules for formulating N-type radio frequency coaxial connectors, as well as the format of the blank detailed specification. This section gives recommended performance characteristics that should be considered when writing a detail specification, and it includes test schedules and inspection requirements for M and H rating levels. This section applies to N-type radio frequency coaxial connectors. Type N RF coaxial connectors have a threaded connection mechanism and are used in low and medium power applications. Original dimensions in this section are in inches and all undimensioned graphic constructions are for reference only.
