Scope

This part of GB/T 5211 specifies the general test method for the determination of sieve residue by dispersing pigment and extender samples in water. Part 14 of GB/T 5211 specifies the general test method for the determination of sieve residue of pigments and extenders by mechanical washing method. For most pigments and extender pigments, different results will be obtained by using these two methods. Therefore, which method should be used should be clearly indicated in the product standard and indicated in the test report.
