Scope

This standard specifies several manual sampling methods for paints, varnishes and raw materials for paints and varnishes. These products include liquids and materials that can be liquefied when heated without chemical change, as well as powder, granular and paste materials. Samples may be taken from tanks, drums, storage tanks, containers, tank trucks or tankers, or from drums, bags, bales, silos, storage trucks or conveyor belts.
