This part specifies the terms and definitions, symbols and codes, materials, classifications, product specifications, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, and packaging of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (PE-UHMW) pipe fittings (hereinafter referred to as "pipe fittings") , transportation and storage. This section applies to pipe fittings made of PE-UHMW as the main raw material and made by extrusion molding or secondary processing of pipes. The pipe fittings specified in this section are suitable for transporting slurries, powders, granular solids, water, certain corrosive chemical liquids below 45°C, and fluids at low temperatures.
