Scope
This part of GB/T 32346 specifies the test methods and requirements for XLPE insulated long-length AC submarine cables and their accessories with a rated voltage of 220 kV (Um = 252 kV). This section applies to 220 kV single-core and three-core cross-linked polyethylene insulated submarine cables and optical fiber composite cross-linked polyethylene insulated submarine cables installed on the seabed; it also applies to factory joints (soft joints), repair joints, submarine cables and land Submarine cable accessories such as transition joints and terminals between upper cables. This section does not apply to special applications such as tests of dynamic cables on offshore floating platforms. Such dynamic cables are subject to another mechanical stress and are therefore not included within the scope of this standard.
