GB/T 11133-2015 Standard test method for determination of water in petroleum products, lubricating oils, and additives.Coulometric Karl Fischer titration method (English Version)
This standard specifies the method for the direct determination of water content in petroleum products and hydrocarbons using an automatic titrator. The water content determined by direct titration ranges from 10 mg/kg to 25 000 mg/kg. This standard also stipulates the method of indirect determination of the water content of the sample. By heating, the water in the sample is separated, and the dry inert gas is loaded into the Karl Fischer titrator for analysis. See Chapter 4 for the interference of mercaptans, sulfides, sulfur and other compounds on the test method. This standard applies to the determination of water content in additives, lubricating oils, base oils, automatic transmission fluids, hydrocarbon solvents and other petroleum products using commercially available Karl Fischer Coulomb reagents. By selecting an appropriate sample injection volume, the determination range of water content in this standard ranges from mg/kg level to mass percent level.
