Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, service conditions, design and structure, as well as basic requirements for testing and quality requirements of DC PLC filter capacitors used in HVDC transmission systems. This standard applies to the DC side of the converter station in the high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission system, and the DC PLC filter capacitors installed indoors or outdoors are used to filter out noise signals within the PLC frequency range of 30 kHz to 500 kHz to prevent commutation The noise in the PLC carrier frequency domain generated by the valve will cause noise interference to the communication system along the line. See Appendix A for common wiring diagrams of DC PLC filters used in HVDC transmission systems, and Appendix B for installation layout diagrams.
