This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation and storage of latex sponges (hereinafter referred to as sponges). This standard applies to sponges made of natural rubber latex, styrene-butadiene latex, chloroprene latex, a combination of natural rubber latex and styrene-butadiene latex, a combination of chloroprene latex and styrene-butadiene latex, and a combination of chloroprene latex and natural rubber latex.
