Scope: This standard specifies three methods for determining the indentation hardness of flexible foam polymeric materials. - Method A: Indentation hardness index, which gives the laboratory indentation measurement method; - Method B; Indentation hardness characteristics, which gives the hardness curve measurement method; - Method C; Indentation hardness test, which gives A rapid method for quality control was developed. This standard applies to latex, polyurethane (PU), polyvinyl chloride (PVC) open-cell foam plastics. The test results obtained by this method are related to the test conditions. Often this result cannot be directly used in the design of the product.
