This standard specifies test methods for determining the thickness loss and hardness loss of fatigue properties of flexible foam polymeric materials. This standard test method is used to evaluate the performance of polyurethane-based and latex-based flexible foam polymeric materials whose end use is load-bearing cushioning materials. The thickness loss and hardness loss obtained from the test are related to the actual use conditions, but are not necessarily completely consistent. This test method is applicable to both standard size specimens cut from bulk materials and molded specimens of various shapes.
