- This standard specifies the method for ultrasonic testing of steel forgings using the longitudinal or transverse wave contact pulse reflection method. This standard is applicable to ultrasonic testing of carbon steel and alloy steel forgings, and is not applicable to ultrasonic testing of austenitic stainless steel forgings.
