Scope: This standard specifies the principle requirements for the qualification and certification of industrial non-destructive testing (NDT) personnel. The system specified in this standard can also be applied to other NDT methods or new technologies that have been defined as an NDT method, but only if there is a complete certification scheme, and the method or technology has been recognized by international, regional or national standards. covered, or this new NDT method or technique has been proven effective to the satisfaction of the certification body.
