- This standard specifies the longitudinal or transverse wave contact pulse reflection method ultrasonic flaw detection method for steel forgings. This standard applies to carbon steel and low alloy steel forgings with a thickness or diameter equal to or greater than 100mm. Ultrasonic flaw detection of austenitic stainless steel forgings can also be carried out by reference.
