- Scope
- This standard specifies the determination of the thermal resistance of low-density blanket insulation materials by selecting a product of a specific density and thickness, measuring the density and thickness, using the guarded hot plate method or the heat flow meter method to determine the thermal conductivity, and using calculation and interpolation methods. This standard applies to mineral wool blanket insulation materials with a density ranging from 6.4 kg/m3 to 48 kg/m3.
