- This standard specifies the naming rules, technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules and signs, accompanying documents, packaging and storage of rail straightness measuring instruments (hereinafter referred to as "straightness instruments"). This standard applies to the manufacture and inspection of straightness meters.
