Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, symbols, and general requirements for reliability verification tests of automatic transfer switch electrical appliances (ATSE). This standard applies to ATSEs with AC 50 Hz (60 Hz), rated voltage not exceeding 1 000 V, and rated current 400 A and below. In addition to verifying test plans and test procedures, this standard also applies to product reliability determination tests. This standard can be used as a guiding document for ATSE manufacturers to conduct product reliability testing. The reliability test of ATSE with a rated current of 400 A and above can be conducted with reference to this standard.
