Scope: This standard specifies the method for the determination of chemical oxygen demand (COD)/five-day biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) of sizing materials used for textile sizing. This standard is applicable to the determination of chemical oxygen demand (COD)/five-day biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) of sizing materials used for textile sizing. In this standard, for samples made from the tested slurry, the lower limit of determination of chemical oxygen demand (COD) is 15 mg/L, the upper limit of determination is 1 000 mg/L, and the chloride ion concentration should not be greater than 1 000 mg/L. ; For samples with chemical oxygen demand (COD) greater than 1 000 mg/L or chloride ion content greater than 1 000 mg/L, the measurement can be carried out after appropriate dilution. For samples made from the tested slurry, the measurement range of biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) of this standard is 2 mg/L~6 000 mg/L; for biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) greater than 6 000 mg/L The sample can be measured after appropriate dilution.
