Warning: Mercury sulfate is a highly toxic chemical, and sulfuric acid is also highly chemically corrosive. When operating, you should wear protective equipment as required and avoid contact with skin and clothes. If a solution containing sulfuric acid spills, wash it immediately with plenty of water; Operate in a fume hood; the residue and liquid after testing should be properly and safely disposed of. This standard applies to the determination of chemical oxygen demand (COD) in surface water, groundwater, domestic sewage and industrial wastewater. In this standard, for undiluted water samples, the lower limit of COD determination is 15mg/L, the upper limit of determination is 1000mg/L, the chloride ion concentration should not be greater than 1000mg/L, and the chloride ion mass concentration should not be greater than 1000mg/L. This standard can be used to measure water samples with a chemical oxygen demand (COD) greater than 1000 mg/L or a chloride ion content greater than 1000 mg/L after appropriate dilution.
