- Scope
- This standard specifies the dilution and inoculation methods for five-day biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) in water. This standard is applicable to the determination of five-day biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) in surface water, industrial wastewater and domestic sewage. The detection limit of the method is 0.5 mg/L, the lower limit of determination of the method is 2 mg/L, the upper limit of determination of the non-dilution method and non-dilution inoculation method is 6 mg/L, and the upper limit of determination of the dilution and dilution inoculation method is 6000 mg/L.
