Scope: This standard specifies the classification, requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for power and lighting transformers for offshore platforms (hereinafter referred to as transformers). This standard is applicable to the design, manufacturing and acceptance of dry-type transformers installed on offshore platforms or in offshore projects with a voltage level of 35 kV and below, a frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz, and a rated capacity of 20,000 kVA and below.
