- This standard applies to air-cooled dry-type power transformers that meet the requirements of GB 6450 "Dry-type Power Transformers" and operate in accordance with the restrictions in Chapter 6 of this standard. This standard is regulated according to six insulation grades and the temperature grades of corresponding insulating materials. Due to the different insulating materials and structures, various insulation systems can be composed. This standard therefore presents general load recommendations in two parts. In the first part, load recommendations are not given, but methods for calculating load conditions are given. The parameters used in the calculation are all given by a special structure and/or the prototype test results of a certain insulation system. This calculation method can be calculated by a computer program. In the second part, except for the temperature limit of the insulating material and the temperature of the external environment, regardless of the insulation system or structure, all parameters are assumed to be constant, and the load curves are obtained from this. This standard specifies the principle of how to operate dry-type power transformers without exceeding the allowable limit value of insulation heat aging. The allowable value of insulation heat aging is based on the operation of dry-type lamp transformers under rated operating conditions and external ambient temperature. determined when thermal damage to the insulation occurs during the process.
