Scope
This standard mainly specifies the verification method for the energy efficiency design index (EEDI) of the ship in the design stage and sea trial stage, and provides guidance for verifying the EEDI value (Attained EEDI) achieved by the ship. This standard is applicable to the 12 types of international voyage ocean transport ships listed in Table 1 of GB/T 30008-2013, the 3 types of domestic voyage ocean transport ships listed in Table 2, and the 6 types of inland waterway transport ships listed in Table 3. Value" verification is not applicable to ships with diesel-electric propulsion, turbine propulsion or hybrid propulsion systems in these ship types.
