Scope: This standard specifies the calculation method of ship energy efficiency design index. This standard is applicable to the calculation of EEDI for 12 types of international voyage ocean transport ships listed in Table 1 of GB/T 30008-2013, 3 types of domestic voyage ocean transport ships listed in Table 2, and 6 types of inland waterway transport ships listed in Table 3. Not applicable to ships with diesel-electric propulsion, turbopropulsion or hybrid propulsion systems.
