- This standard specifies the baseline value of the energy efficiency design index for energy-saving ships. This standard is applicable to the 12 types of ocean transport ships for international voyages listed in Table 1, the 3 types of ocean transport ships for domestic voyages listed in Table 2, and the 6 types of inland waterway transport ships listed in Table 3. Ships with diesel-electric propulsion, turbine propulsion or hybrid propulsion systems within these ship types.
