This standard specifies the general safety requirements for small and medium-sized rotating electrical machines (motors and generators, hereinafter referred to as motors) for general purposes. This standard applies to small and medium-sized rotating electrical machines for general purposes. For small-power motors produced according to GB/T 5171, GB 12350 can also be used as the assessment basis. General safety requirements for other types of motors can be used for reference.
