Scope

This standard specifies the grades, technical requirements, test methods, acceptance rules and markings, packaging, transportation and storage of gray iron castings for positive displacement compressors. This standard applies to gray iron castings (hereinafter referred to as "castings") with flake graphite cast in sand molds or molds with thermal conductivity equivalent to that of sand molds.
