Scope: This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation and storage of low-pressure mercury vapor discharge ultraviolet germicidal lamps (hereinafter referred to as "lamps"). This standard applies to double-ended, single-ended or self-ballasted lamps made of quartz glass with or without ozone and with a peak ultraviolet radiation wavelength of 253.7 nm. This standard applies to lamps with a power below 65W.
