Scope
This standard stipulates the calculation of the hoop stress of the drum shell when the centrifuge drum rotates, the selection of various coefficients, the evaluation of drum strength, the guiding principles for the application of finite element analysis method and the evaluation of fatigue strength. This standard applies to cylindrical or conical filter drums or settling drum shells with uniform circumferential and axial loads and uniform thickness. The drum can be lined, screened or unlined, screened. The material of the drum must be a tough metal material with uniform composition, and the influence of operating temperature and medium on the material has been taken into account when selecting the material. This standard does not apply to centrifuge drums under the following conditions: a) The ratio of drum wall thickness to radius δ/r1>0.15; b) The kinetic energy of the loaded drum is less than 750J; c) The drum is driven by an electric motor Household dehydration machines; d) The peripheral speed of the drum is greater than 300m/s; e) High-speed centrifuges specially used in the nuclear industry.
