Scope: 1.1 This section is formulated in order to establish a standardized construction and operation mechanism for the low-temperature multi-effect distillation seawater desalination system, improve the technical level of construction and operation management, and ensure safe, stable, high-quality, and low-consumption production of fresh water. 1.2 This section applies to iron and steel enterprises using low-parameter steam to produce fresh water through low-temperature multi-effect distillation seawater desalination systems. Other industries can also refer to this implementation. It is also applicable to low-temperature multi-effect distillation-seawater reverse osmosis coupling system (MED-SWRO) and medium-low temperature multi-effect distillation system (MED). 1.3 The design, construction, operation, maintenance and safety of the low-temperature multi-effect distillation seawater desalination system should not only comply with this part, but also comply with the relevant national regulations and standards. 1.4 All requirements specified in this section are general. If deletions are made, they shall be limited to the requirements of Articles 5.2 and 6.2 of this Part, and such deletions shall not affect the ability or responsibility of the low-temperature multiple-effect distillation desalination plant to provide products that meet customer requirements and applicable laws, regulations and specifications.
