Scope: This standard specifies various technical requirements for bypass switches for high-voltage AC series capacitors, including ratings, design and structure, test requirements, installation, operation and maintenance rules, etc. This standard applies to bypass switches for AC series capacitors designed to be installed outdoors and operating in systems with a frequency of 50 Hz and a voltage of 66 kV or above. This standard applies only to bypass switches in three-phase systems. This standard also applies to the operating mechanism of the bypass switch and its auxiliary equipment.
