Scope

This standard specifies the general terms related to high-voltage switchgear and the definitions of high-voltage switchgear, switch components, operation, characteristic parameters, tests and test equipment and other electrotechnical terms. This standard applies to high-voltage switchgear (not including fuses) such as high-voltage circuit breakers, reclosers, sectionalizers, load switches, disconnectors, grounding switches, device, which has its own terminology standard), formulates and revises standards, writes and translates references such as technical materials, professional manuals and books.
