Scope
This standard specifies requirements and gives recommendations for the design, integration and validation of machinery safety-related electrical, electronic and programmable electronic control systems (SRECS). This standard applies to control systems used alone or in combination to enable non-portable machines to perform safety-related control functions during work, including a group of machines working together in a coordinated manner. It does not apply to portable work machines. This standard is an application standard and does not limit or hinder technological progress. It does not include all requirements (such as guarding, non-electrical interlocking or non-electrical controls) that require or require other standards or regulations for the protection of persons from hazards. Each type of machine has unique requirements that need to be met in order to provide adequate safety. This standard: - only deals with functional safety requirements that are expected to reduce the risk of personal injury or health hazards caused by direct access to machinery or direct use of machinery; - is limited to hazards directly caused by the machine itself or a group of machines working together in a coordinated manner Risks; ——the performance requirements of mechanical non-electrical (such as hydraulic, pneumatic) control elements are not specified; ——the electrical hazards caused by the electrical control equipment itself (such as electric shock, see GB 5226.1) are not included.
